Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy and Counseling
Psychological support is provided In an atmosphere of trust and acceptance, while we together explore a client’s life story, on the way to positive changes in his or her life. I help clients to better cope with psychological and emotional difficulties, to find their inner resources while they learn to better understand themselves and environment around them.
The title of my Master’s thesis The adaptation of a foreigner to a new environment through the creation of a new cultural envelope received the highest score. Knowledge from this theory base helps me when working with clients struggling with emigration issues.
I can be of use in helping deal with internal issues and problems related to adaptation to changing life situations, if you:
• have changed your job or residence and find it difficult to cope with it psychologically and need support in the period of crisis,
• have emotional and professional burnout, loss of interest in your formerly igniting job and profession,
• are searching for a work/life balance,
• have difficulties in interpersonal relations with your partner, children, parents or colleagues at work,
• feel apathy, depression and a lack of meaning in your life,
• have low self-esteem and doubt your abilities and successes,
• have difficulties in making important life decisions,
• are experiencing anxiety, sadness, mood swings, failure, high stress, shame, boredom, a sense of deadlock, despair, loneliness, inner emptiness, insecurity, resentment, anger, frustration, guilt, grief, loss, procrastination, lack of energy and these feelings impair: performance at work, communication with others and ability to enjoy life.
Individual Business Coaching
Executive and business coach with previous experience in management consulting and the financial services sector. I work with private and corporate clients.
In my role as a business coach, I help clients find inner resources that would help them deal with their business requests usually related to changes in organisations or their roles. Some requests for which I provide coaching support are:
• adaptation of executives entering new career positions, facing crisis situations or significant changes in companies and individual careers,
• adaptation of expats in a new country and a new role in the company
• overcoming burnout of managers and HiPo employees
• enhancement of management efficiency by improving communication and leadership skills
• improvement of interpersonal work relationships and effective communication at all levels in company
• systemic adaptation to changes in corporate culture in the periods of transformation
• coaching and facilitation support in search for strategic decisions and negotiation
Some of the results achieved through work in a business coaching format: changes in the behaviour of clients responses towards employees on different levels; enhancement of leadership skills and communication skills according to the situation at hand; increasing motivation and overall performance by understanding personal motivation and demotivation of a client; a clearer understanding of strategic goals and road map for its implementation in a company; build productive relationships in the team; accelerated adaptation in a new management position; anxiety reduction in situations of uncertainty and crisis and subsequent action plan formulation; psychological support in a client’s search for crisis factors, his or her strong sides to mitigate the situation and joint exploration of client’s new opportunities, etc.
Group and Team Coaching
In group coaching a group of people get together for a defined period of time with a aim to jointly study a previously declared topic, where the participants have the opportunity to see themselves through the eyes of others, to hear different points of view about their situation, to look at the unconscious reasons for their behaviour and their influence on others. The group does not have a joint purpose nor a common organisation. The only goal of all members is individual development with the help of the group.
Team coaching takes place in organisations and systems where participants are members of a team and therefore have a common goal, mutual responsibility for the result and consequently a lasting and interconnected relationship. Team coaching shows very good results with project teams and teams of top managers.
Organisational Consulting
I consult organisations with a system-dynamic approach. In contrast to the classical management consulting, where companies are recommended to use the best practice cases, in a systemic approach each case is different. This method implies a careful study of the system, the organisational structure, it’s dynamics and the manifestation of both conscious and unconscious processes in the functioning of the organisation.
The systems approach assumes that the organisation, entering into relations with the external environment, often unpredictable and changeable, reacts by increasing the general level of anxiety in the organisation. Anxiety can manifest itself in a very different, yet most often nonconstructive ways, forming defences against external and internal threats. The system always strives for self-preservation, remaining rigid to change. Therefore, the systemic approach shows the best result when supporting the implementation of changes at all levels of organisation.
Consulting consists of two phases – diagnostics, analysis and systematisation of unconscious processes and further implementation of adaptation process through work in groups and teams on different levels, with a company management including an individual work in the format of coaching.
Values, code of ethics and principles of working with clients
Confidentiality
Confidentiality – maintaining confidentiality is the first and basic rule of a psychologist’s work. It refers to the duty of non-disclosure of information obtained in joint work, as well as information related to the identity of the client without the client’s consent. This is a basic condition of safety for the client, which makes it possible to establish a relationship of trust as an important precondition for a fruitful work.
Voluntariness
Voluntariness – the working relationship with the client is exclusively voluntary. Voluntariness is directly connected with responsibility for the result, which in the course of joint work is shared between the specialist and a client with their desire to cooperate and work together until the desired result is achieved.
Ethics, competence and professionalism
Ethics, competence and professionalism are integral attributes of a psychologist’s work. Ethics implies that the psychologist will not misuse the trust relationship with a client for personal gains and abides to respect his/her dignity, rights and freedoms. In addition to ethical principles of confidentiality, compliance with the rules and conditions of work, professionalism requires a high level of education and mandatory experience of personal psychoanalysis by the psychologist himself/herself.
